rehearsed timings - individual sound files

Doesn't the rehearsed timings feature actually created individual sound files
somewhere in a directory, where they are named or somehow associated with
individual slide numbers? If so, where can I find these individual files?

If you choose the Link option when you record narration, yes. Otherwise the
sounds are embedded.
