Hi, I used to be able to import a PDF, created in Acrobat 6 Professional,
into CorelDraw 12.
I have upgraded to Acrobat 9 Professional and when I try to import a PDF
created in this, I now get an 'internal filter error'. Can anybody help with
this please.

Hi, thanks for the advice, which I tried, unfortunately without success (but
I learnt a lot in the process).

I thought you would like to know that I have found a solution, but now I
don't think the problem actually lies with Acrobat 9.

The original file was in P-CAD 2004, which I printed to pdf in Acrobat 9 and
tried to import into CorelDraw. Although the P-CAD settings said they were
compatible with Acrobat 6 and later, this didn't seem to be the case.

So, I looked at the P-CAD application again (as I'd tried everything else in
Acrobat and Corel!). In P-CAD I did a File, Print to, Adobe PDF, and then
changed the default settings to 'PDF/X-1a:2001'. I imported this straight
into CorelDraw, and IT OPENED!!!!! The only thing was that the text in the
pdf was not text in CorelDraw, but that does not matter - I can do the edits
in P-CAD.

Funny thing though, if I opened the PDF in Acrobat 9 and saved it, then
imported it into CorelDraw, I got the same result. It imports ok.
