i created a very simple flash movie, only four layers and it cycles through each one in 100 frames. i want users to be able to click on each one, when it is showing, and to be redirected to the page that the image should be linked to. is this possible and how? is there a way to add controls so that the user can stop or play, go forward or back too? thanks |

One option could be to have a movie clip that expands your timeline that hold simple pause/play button, then I would either create a movie clip button that has a graphic with a zero opacity, or something to that effect, that can direct to the appropriate page. Or if possible just make the four individual movie clips buttons themselves that direct to the appropriate page. Can you send a url with an example of your swf? |

I guess it really depends on how you have your fla setup... it is a little difficult to visualize what the best option would be. Because you have one movie clip fading over the other, it becomes an issue if the user clicks on the banner in mid fade, then what would be the course of action? Or does the graphic only become clickable once the opacity has reached 100%? |

i think it would be confusing to the user if there wasn't a clear beginning and end to each clip. i'll look into this some more. maybe try and learn some action script to control the presentation. thank you for your reply, i really appreciate it. |
