Ron, there is a better way to ask a question - LINK
We do not know what operating system you have, what is causing this particular error which has also been associated with the *1058* error, or any releavnt information.
You can have a look at the following to see if any are relevant to your situation, if not, perhaps you better study *how to ask a question*. Although I have several crystal balls, they don't actually work long distance. You may receive an error message that contains the "0x8DDD0018" code or the "0x80246008" code when you try to download updates from the Microsoft Windows Update Web site or from the Microsoft Update Web site LINK
What causes Error 0x8ddd0018 LINK
If your problem is partially related to the above but you receive a 1058 error -
System may be infected with malware "Vundo" LINK Service does not start and displays "Error 1058" LINK
You cannot manually start the Automatic Updates service and you receive an "Error 1058" error message on a computer that is running Windows XP or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 LINK

I am running Windows XP professional. My desktop pc got infected by a malware called "Vundo" which resulted to unable to do automatic updaters from Microsoft website. After reading all the thread I was able to get rid of it by using Superantispyware. Everything is working now. As a result of this I have a problem is when booting up the system. I always got Error in loading : C:\windows'system32/rxsinevf.dll. I just ignore it. This file was quarantine by the superantispware and I don't know what this dll function is. I can restore this file but worried it might have virus on it. Does anyone out there know what this file do? Thanks.
