Hello. I'd like to put a button on my taskbar (or maybe two) where if I click it it takes me to a particular website. How would I do this?
Thanks for any help! |

If you are using the "Quick Launch" Toolbar (enabled by right-clicking the taskbar and choosing it from the toolbars submenu) you can simply left-click and drag the icon of the page from the address-bar in your browser into the quick launch space on your taskbar - that will breate a shortcut to the site.
Good luck!

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) *and* your IE version.
How about adding the link to IE Favorites Links folder, then enabling Links bar? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin LINK DTS-L LINK

Thanks for responding. I'm using Win 98 and IE version 6.0.2800.
It is in my Favorites folder but I don't know what you mean by "enabling Links bar." Thanks again for responding.

Thanks for the help. I found a solution that will work by noticing that to the right of the GO button of the address bar, it says "Links" and "Best of the Web." I guess that's what the first responder was referring to when he said to enable the links bar. I didn't know what the links bar was.
Anyway, I selected Properties for the "Best of the Web" icon and put in the website address for the website I wanted and that worked. I'm kicking myself for not doing this a long time ago.
Thanks again,
Steve |

In IE 7 you can drag the icon next to your address and drop it in your taskbar.
