One of the problems I've run into since I've been using v2003 is that
after a while, data in a cell stops wrapping even when text wrap is
on. At that point, I have to manually go in an add the line breaks.

This seems to happen to cells with a lot of information in them.

Was wondering why this was the case. In XL2K, we had the 255
character limit, of course, but in 2003 we can enter so much more
information. But then the word wrap problem begins.

Is there a way around this problem?

thx SurprisedD

Yes, you need to add Alt-Enters every 100 characters or so.

1024 characters is the display limit by default..........you can enter 32767
characters in a cell but only 1024 will display or print.

No way to increase that limit other than to add the linefeed(Alt + ENTER)
every 100 characters.

Thanks! Good to know this. This information hadn't come my way and
I'm new to XL2007.

Do any of you use a macro to do the splitting up of lines, by any
chance? Or is there any way to do this programmatically, in other
words?

Thx. SurprisedD

You were speaking of 2003 version in your original post to which I replied.

Did you just recently install 2007 version?

I don't know if the limits have changed in 2007.

Wait for a 2007 user to drop in.
