Which flash player for Firefox 2?

Try Coping the Flash dll (NPSWF23.DLL)from:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.DLL

To:

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\NPSWF32.DLL

That was the only way I could get Firefox to recognize that flash was
installed. If you have the "Mr Tech" about:Plugins add on installed in
Firefox, Flash and the version number will show up in the list.
