I have "XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2" on my desktop. Can I,
and should I, upgrade this to SP3?

If so, how should I proceed? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would like to test drive Hyper-V, which requires SP3.

Thanks very much.

1. What to do before installing SP3:

2. Make sure you're fully patched up with Windows Updates.
3. Make sure you've got the Intel chipset drivers already installed:

4. If you have anti-virus, make sure it's fully up to date.
5. Download the full SP3 as I don't recommend the Window Update
version.
