Hi,
I noticed anytime i put a symbol or image on stage and flipflop it, it doesnt show when rendered.
I put a picture to demonstrate the problem. Here i copied the lion mc and flopped it to make the copy its shadow.
Look what happens when i test movie: the shadow disappears (test movie on right) while you can still see it in authoring environment:

Never seen (nor heard of) such a thing before. What is happening? How can i fix it?
Thank you |

Ok i found out a solution to the problem, but not an explanation though.
Lemme explain you in images what was happening:
1- In this first image (demonstration1), on left side is an instance of the movieclip i called "letter". Inside the clip is nothing special but the caps letter A typed with arial font. On the right side is the movieclip "LetterBroken", same thing than letter mc except the letter inside was broken apart (ctrl+B, or Modify > Break Apart in menu): LINK
2- When rendered, for sure you see them both (demonstration2). No problem so far: LINK
3- Now look what happens when i flip both clips (Free Transform tool). This time, when i render, shazam! The non-broken letter symbol disappears when rendered! (see image demonstration3): LINK
Ok what i didnt tell you in my first post was that the lion symbol was nothing but a....letter. Yeah! It is the "r" of the font "Afrika Wildlife B Mammals2" (free download at: LINK)
Well now i know you can't flipflop texts in flash and render them (embedded in a clip or directly on root). Why is that so? I dunno. If someone has the why please explain me.
Thanks |
