Where can I uncheck the box to get rid of the smart menus. Those arrows that
hide little used menu items.

Just got 20" wide screen so have all the room for full menus.

Thanks

Joe

In Office 2003 it's Tools|Customize|Options. In Office 2007 you'll
probably find the Customize box by clicking the Orb, and looking
around. (I don't have O2007 on this machine.)

If it's another application, tell us what it is.

The date and time was 9/18/2008 12:43 PM, and on a whim, JBL pounded out
on the keyboard:

Hi Joe,

If you're talking about MSO 2003, Tools, Customize, Options tab. Check
Always show full menus.

If you're talking about XP, right click Start and select Properties.
Click Classic Start menu and then the Customize button. Uncheck Use
Personalized Menus.

Hi Tim,

In any of the MSO 2007 installations I've performed, none of them had
the crippled menus like 2003. I don't know whether it picked up the
preference from 2003 or not, but even clean installs don't have that as
a default any longer. It took long enough...
