I just created a slipstream disc from XP Home ver 2002 (orig disk) and SP1 disk. Can I create from that .iso image a disk containing SP3?
Basically I'm trying to create a disk for emergency purposes of my Home ver with the latest service pack. |

No. You must first use the SP1 .ISO file to create (burn a CD) a usable Windows XP Home SP1 installation CD.
Then use the SP1 installation CD to create a slipstreamed SP3 .ISO file.
Finally use that .ISO file to burn a Windows XP Home SP3 installation disk.

1) to slipstream SP3 onto a CD with SP1 you must slipstream SP2 first onto that media
simply because sp3 does not contain all fixes and updates since sp1 only since SP2
2) once you do that slipstream to include SP3 onto you created SP2 Media and end up with a sio I recommend you reconsider intalling this XP with SP3
Reason 1)LLTD dont work I have fixed that on my blog and Microsft have 2 months later decided to make you grovel for a official fix which I also provide in my blog as a direct download.
3)SP3 introduces several bugs to XP that given the different systems and hardware will cuase different issues
4)if you ignore my advice your on you own. Not that I take responsability for Microsofts poor technical support or solution or lach thereof any for the bugs in SP3
5)I suspect strongly that these bugs are not incidental and only another way to sneak into you mind and say update to vista.
6)I hate Microsofts attitude to all theire customers and if well all look around these forums and others youll see why not that any of you care, thats why they make mony and we the user are left with all the crap they dish out..
