I recently had a catastrophic computer failure due to a power surge during a
storm. I now have a new motherboard, new processor and new hard drive. I
installed XP pro on the new unit and tried to update with Service pack 2 and
I keep failing the validation. Is there a site I can download SP2 without
going through the validation process? Actually all I really need at this
point is a high speed USB driver. Thanks |

Do you have a new UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) to protect your new
computer equipment against future power surges?
Try SP3 as it will have all the updates released prior to it being issued:
