Ok I ran this the other night. Now every time I log onto the net my homepage is some microsoft crap trying to get me to buy their internet security. It won't let me permanently change back to google and blocks things like speedtest as being unsafe, spyware etc. I tried to find it in remove programs but can't find it.
Please, please some kind soul advise me how I find and remove this intrusive garbage from my PC -- Microsoft updates that alter my settings get on my nerves |

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3) when posting to this newsgroup, please.
What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)?
I'd very much doubt installing KB938464 had anything to do with the behavior you're seeing.
Post a URL of this homepage offering "some microsoft crap" relating to "internet security". (If it's about XP Antivirus 2008 or 2009, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Microsoft.) -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin LINK DTS-L LINK
