I have tried a dozen times to install this update. I get Error Code: 0x2B33. I emailed Microsoft about this and I received no answer. Can anyone help me? -- Thank you very much for your help. Lucy |

US & CA only:
"Please call 1-800-936-5700 (or 1-800-936-4900 and ask to be routed to the SQL-Public Team) to open a free consumer support case. There is no charge for support related to installing a Security Update.
"When you call please let them know that this has to do with Security Bulletin MS08-040.
"If they try to charge you, please let them know that there is free support for any issues with Security Updates."

Try doing a web search for the decimal equivalent of that code.
BTW are you sure that you have transcribed that code correctly? A more common code is 2B22.
Search your harddrive for any files which the update changed to contain either your code or its decimal equivalent too.
In any case I think you are likely to find more knowledgeable help where SQL users convene. Cross-posting to an SQL NG for convenience.
