I found a new site that i like how they created the background. I realize that
most of the site is done in flash, and for the most part is very simple. I am
wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction on how they made the
graphics for the site. I like the background image with the wooden texture. I
realize that there are many sites that use this type of effect. Can anyone
point me in the right direction? Thanks.

All made in photoshop or other graphic design tools, then imported to flash.
Flash is just the tool to put it all together into one complete project
but all its content is made outside. Flash is simply incapable of producing
such graphics.
By the way, the site isn't as impressive as many other well know sites where
you can see extensive images used in conjunction with Flash.

well... you need the texture [made by you or got from other sources] and a mask layer with that text. under tha mask is a movie and, that is all  |

great links you posted there urami_ ..... man. anyone have any ideas how they
do that awesome fade in type of effect on all the text on the coca cola site?

Thanks for the great links. I'll definitely check those out. I realize the
TSO site is very simple to do, i have always been enthralled by the ability of
designers to make textured backgrounds like that. Thanks for the responses. |

| I would say you just make the image in photoshop (how, I don't know) with all the dimensions correct then just import it to flash. It should not be any more simple then that. |
