I have the 9.0 Flash from Adobe. At least two web sites cannot detect it and
tell me to install it. I have installed it and uninstalled it about 6 times but
no luck. I can't be the only person who has had this problem. Help?

Most likely it's the Detection script used that has a problem. Some people code
it to version 7 or 8 or version 8.0.26 etc... Instead of 8 and above. So even tho
you fully compatible to view the site, the detection script won't let you through.

Could you kindly provide the URL? Let us check whether it's a general problem or
just your end.

I have the same problem with my flash. At one site (www.myyearbook.com) it
will work on some things but on others it tells me I need to install it. On
another site (www.iwin.com) it doesn't even show it as being installed. Please
let me know also if there is something I can do. I have done the uninstall
things several times and even downloaded the registry permission things. I
have done everything the Adobe site told me to do, but they don't tell me what
to do if none of their suggestions work. PLEASE somebody help me. Thanks in
advance for your time and help. Have a great evening.

Ok, checked it out and it works for me. I also checked the source and they are using
SWFobject which is one of the best ways right now to embed the flash movie within HTML.
So my guess is, it's something on your end. These are usually very hard to troubleshoot
because there is so many factors, from browsers versions, to other colliding browser
plug ins, then their versions and subversions. I was hopping it was badly made detection
script Sad Anyway, I suggest visit the adobe.com/support/flash There are some tech notes
on removing and reinstalling and troubleshooting player problem.

Acey;
This has been going on with me for about 2 months. I finally solved the problem today. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and I use that for the sites I couldn't use fully on MSIE. It works!
