I have a spreadsheet and I have formatted the cells to give me the euro symbol (previously uk sterling) so that is ok. However within the spreadsheet I have a text box, how do I get the euro symbol within it?

Hi,
Hold down the Alt key, type 0128, then let go of the Alt key. Make sure you use the number pad at the right of your keyboard and not the numbers at the top of the keyboard.

That works ok in the spreadsheet proper. but not in the toolbars/drawing/text box. I just get a vertical line in the text box when I use Alt 1028.

It works fine for me in a text box from the drawing toolbar. What font are you using? Special Character entry doesn't work the same in all fonts.
