I recently purchased the Home and Student edition of Office 2007 and am trying to write a paper. When i click the reference tab, the "Citations and Bibliography" section is greyed out, and i cannot make any selections. The only thing i can select is "Insert Citation", but from there my only option is search libraries. This feature previously worked in the free version which came with my computer.
if it s any sort of help, the drop-down menu marked "Style" says "Missing". I don't know if perhaps citations is a feature only available in a certain Office package other than home and student? Who else would use this tool but a student? |

Got the same problem here, can't find any help on it... Running latest versions of Office Pro 2007 and XP Pro.
If there was a fix for this i would like to know. Cheers

If the drop down style menu contains 'Missing' that means the style directory is either empty or non-existent. The style directory is located at <word directory>\Bibliography\Style
The issue is caused by an installation error. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Office 2007.
