I am using Word 07 and have done some basic research on the subject.
In my template I have placed a checkbox in a table using
Developer>>Controls>> Legacyforms>> checkbox form field.
I have been able to "activate" the box by locking the document and only
allowing fill in forms, but in my table I also have places that need typed
information by the user, which when the document is locked, does not allow
this to happen.
I would like users to be able to click the box and have it get"x'd" and also
be able to type things.
Any help would be aprreciated.
thanks.

You must insert Text Form Fields where you want to permit data entry.
