I agree with today's posting about the difficulty of the changed style format in 2007. I have also been with Word since the beginning, and I really miss controlling styles easily. Word often crashes with complex documents, and one work around was selecting No style, stripping areas of formatting where the crash occurred. I can't find the correct help for advanced custom styles or custom tool bars. I would appreciate it if an expert can direct me. My custom styles and custom tool bars with drop down lists of values in 2003 templates have not converted, and I don't see how to fix them easily. |

You should be able to use styles from older versions of Word just fine in Word 2007. Just open a document that contains them. You can copy the styles into the Word 2007 Normal template (normal.dotm).
