How can make text, say for example text in a table cell run a different
orientation, like below:-
A
P
P
L
E

I can change text direction, which places the text on its side but can Word
actually place text like above? Excel has a function where you change the
orientation like above and was wondering whether word can do the same.

Im using Word 2003, XP Home, SP2.

Cheers for any assisstance in advance.

There are two ways to do this.
1. Set the width of the column sufficient to accommodate 1 letter and fix
the cell width. The cell will wrap the letters.
2. Insert enter after each letter.

Sorry - probably too large for what you need - I skipped right over 'table'
cell.
